Owner Jose Medina Jr. founded the San Jose Reds in 2004, and the team quickly gained recognition for its remarkable performance. Under Medina Jr.’s leadership as both General Manager and Manager, the Reds had a remarkable inaugural season with a 17-2-1 record. They later moved to the San Jose National Adult Baseball Association, where they showcased their power by hitting 77 home runs as a team.
The team’s accomplishments include MVP honors for players like Hector Esparza and Rudy DeAnda. While they experienced ups and downs, including reaching the championship but falling short, the Reds continued to strive for excellence. With two championships and several runner-up finishes, they have become a respected force in the baseball community.
